Sharks

Although these fish are often referred to as sharks, there is no chance of losing an arm or a leg to any of them! The word shark has become assigned to them because they have a very active and similar swimming pattern to the marine terror. These sharks are relatively peaceful, although they can chase the odd tank occupant about a little. Other fishes may find their activity disruptive.



The red-finned shark (Labor earthnuts) is a close cousin of the red-tailed black shark and also stems from Asia. Basking shark is found globally; it is very massive and has large mouth. Temperature requirement of the this shark is 8 to 14 ° C or 46 to 57 ° F. They migrates from one place to another depends on the season. Red Sea, New Zealand, coast of China and Japan etc are home to basking sharks.

Whale Shark

Scientific name of the Whale shark is Rhincodon typus. This is the world’s largest living fish; Whale shark can grow up to 12.2m or 40 feet lengthwise, its weight is up to 13.6 tones. Tropical and warm temperate seas are home to Whale sharks.
